Will movie downloads be done in seconds, but still 5G isn't worth it? See this report

First started 2G, then 3G, 4G and now 5G. As well as India, people around the world are eagerly waiting for a very modern network 5G. It is estimated that 5G service will be launched this year in many parts of the world. But in the meantime the biggest question for Indians is when will 5G service be launched in India, as the 5G smartphone is about to launch. Two 5G smartphones are launching in the country this week. In such a situation, it is also important to know what a 5G smartphone means in the present.
5G Internet speed

Realme and IQ are the two companies to launch the first 5G smartphones in India. Interestingly, both of these companies are owned by China's BBK Electronics. Realme x50 Pro and IQ3 prices are estimated at Rs. Can be 37,999 and 36,999. Realm first started its business as an Oppo Sub brand, later becoming an independent entity. Whereas, IQ is now all of Vivo's brands. BBK Electronics also owns Oppo and Vivo. Currently, if we talk about the largest smartphone sales companies in the Indian market, Oppo, Vivo and Realme are in the top 5. Market research firm Counterpoint has provided this information in a report.

Realme x50 Pro and IQ3 will be the first 5G smartphone to be launched in India. But Xiaomi has also been keeping the Mi Mix alpha for a while. Xiaomi has also displayed this smartphone at some of its stores. The company had earlier also said that it will launch at least 10 5G devices in 2020. It is expected that some of these phones will be launched in India as well. 5G variants of the Samsung Galaxy S20 are available globally. Indian variants of Samsung Galaxy S20 do not have 5G network support.

Currently talking about 5G smartphones in India does not seem to make much sense. The biggest reason is that 5G network has not started in India yet. Starting this service in India can take more than a year. Union Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said in September last year that the central government was planning to auction 5G spectrum in late 2020 or early 2021. In this case, if we also assume that domestic service providers (telecom service providers) are ready to buy the spectrum (5G spectrum), they will have to be tested in the next few months as well. According to this, 5G service is not visible in India till mid-2021. In that case, if you want to buy a smartphone that supports 5G, this does not currently make sense. Especially when you have to spend extra money for this.

Any device as an access point must be one step ahead of the network provider. In this sense these companies are not wrong about 5G supporting smartphones. But for Indian consumers, it doesn't make sense to buy a phone with 5G support at a premium rate right now. Sales of smartphones in the Indian market have reached a time when the number of new smartphone customers has come down. Most buyers are those who are buying the phone because of their old phone shortage. Smartphone sales rates have come down. In such a scenario, these companies are attracting customers towards 5G support.

Talking about the utility of 5G, its direct benefits are greater for the general consumer. The biggest benefit of a 5G network is about the Internet of Things device. This includes everything from CCTV cameras to connected cars. Anything that requires data transfer will benefit the most from a 5G network. It will not have much effect on your connected speed. Experts say that after switching from 2G to 3G and then from 3G to 4G networks, changes in internet speed will no longer be seen when migrating from 4G to 5G networks. Overall, the 5G network will have a good impact on smart infrastructure. In this, you can get better services from your service provider.
